Cultivating Mindfulness in 2021

2021 is a year that holds a lot of promise. This is a time when more of us all over the world have the potential and the ability to come into resonance with who we really are and what we really want.

There have been a lot of shifts and changes throughout the past year. New ways of approaching life experiences, new awarenesses of what we want, both individually and as a collective whole, and a powerful desire to find our own balance and happiness.

It helps to remember that happiness is your most natural state of being. Happiness is who you really are. It's your guiding light.

You can always know that you are in total resonance with your Source, your angels, and the desires that you've been asking for, when you are in your joy. That's when you feel that complete knowing in your belly. That's when you feel the trust and faith in your heart. That's when you are fully aware, present, and in love with your life; that's the way it is meant to be for you.

Mindfulness can be a wonderful way to align with your natural happiness. Being mindful of how you are feeling can help you recognize when you are focusing on thoughts that are discordant with your own Well-Being. It can help you refocus on thoughts and feelings that serve you; ones that lift your heart, bring ease into your being, and open you up to the joy that is always available to you.

Here are a few ways you can practice the art of mindfulness this year:

Create a mindful list.

Take some time to create a list of things that bring you back to centre. Some examples are: meditation, walking outdoors, exercising, doing yoga, dancing, listening to upbeat or relaxing music, deep breathing, taking a nap, resting with your crystals, listening to uplifting talks, reading your favourite books, journalling your blessings, cooking beautiful meals, energy work, forest bathing...the list goes on!

The most important thing is that you place things on your list that are easy for you to do, and that genuinely lift your spirits and help you feel better. Keep this list in a place where you can see it regularly.

Throughout your day, take some mindful breaks. You can begin your day with an item or two from your list, and every few hours, choose another item from your list. Close your day with a few activities from your list that help you unwind and relax into sleep.

The benefit of this list is that it will help you to remember how natural it is for you to feel good. And as you practice this, coming back to the items on your list over and over again, you will begin to find more stability in your feelings of ease and happiness, and that energy will gain momentum quickly.

Drink plenty of water.

Water is so good for you. You've likely heard how important water is for your body, but water also supports your energy field.

You are an energetic being that is mainly composed of water. When you drink plenty of pure water (filtered or spring water is best), all your cells receive the benefit of it and your body is able to function more optimally.

Water also opens your communication with your Source and your angels. It helps you go with the flow; to go with the natural current that is calling you forward. Plenty of water will support your body, clear your mind, and help you feel the intuitive guidance that is calling you home to your natural happiness - and to everything you desire.

Be kind to yourself.

The best thing you can do for your energy is to be kind to yourself. A little kindness and gentleness with yourself goes a long way. You are an evolving being who is existing at a powerful moment in time. And it's normal that you would feel some discomfort during this period of growth. The kinder you are to yourself during these moments, the easier it will be for you to find your balance again.

These suggestions are gentle ways for you to remember what your true state of being is, but it's also important to know that you were never meant to find happiness and stay there forevermore. You were born for these moments of expansion and growth, and you innately know that you have the ability to come home to your Well-Being, one step at a time.

Take it easy, be good to yourself, and take it moment by moment.

That's the true meaning of what mindfulness is. ❤
