Another beautiful gem that hails from the Quartz family, Citrine is November's Crystal Of The Month!
Citrine is a gorgeous crystal. Along with Amethyst, Citrine is one of the minerals that people are first attracted to when they begin their work with the crystal kingdom.
And it's not hard to see why! Citrine has a sunny, bright energy that supports those who work with it on so many levels. It is a crystal of abundance, joy and manifestation. It helps us to open up to our true happiness and understand that our innate state of being is one of joy and bliss.
There are two types of Citrine on the market today. The most common type of Citrine has that bright, sparkly yellow hue - this variety is actually heat treated Amethyst. Natural Citrine is becoming more available these days and has a deep, smoky, yellow tone to it.
There are many thoughts on the heat treated Amethyst varieties. Personally, I find this crystal to be just as lovely as natural Citrine. These gems both do wonderful work, they just have slightly different energies from one another.
